====Naming Measurements====

When creating new measurements, you'll often find that you have a single [[Measurements|measurement]] (ie. **temperature**) that can [[property_flow|flow]] to //several// different [[relationships]]. 

However, we encourage you to make different properties for different media types. Take the name of the measurement itself and place the type of //media// after a dash - for example...

  * Pressure - Water
  * Pressure - Air
  * Pressure - Hydraulic

You should only flow a measurement across multiple relationships if they have the same media.

For example, you should share a measurement between 'Hydraulic Supply' and 'Hydraulic Return' relationships - but not between different media types such as 'Hydraulic Supply' and 'Compressed Air Supply'.
